15.3 The Artisans Guild.

Finally perfecting your latest formula, you rise from your oaken desk, weary from
from the day's research, and walk through the heavy iron doors to the chambers
of lore. All about you, figures in thick robes wander about, some working
intricate patterns into small balls of silver, some gathering various
ingredients from about the chamber to combine in small bottles. In the room
adjacent to you, you see a young woman splashing the contents of a bottle on
her sparing partner, and grinning knowingly as he falls to the floor,
helplessly paralyzed.

You walk up the glowing glass staircase behind you, and opening the wooden
hatch to the tower, you inhale the sweet sea air. Looking below, you see the
busy marketplace, the crowded streets, the active seaport - and smile. Taking
one last look, you concentrate on the power of your lorerobes and take off
towards the skies, ready to use your new skills to help your friends and allies.

Artisans command the power of the physical magic and it's applications. By
charging magic into items for use by all, mixing powerful potions for healing
afflictions, fashioning powerful runes for a multitude of uses, and forging
weapons and armour, those of the Loremaster profession provide a great service
to all of Avalon.

The guild is well balanced, able to cater to the style of both the altruist,
and the combatant. While not as adapt at direct fighting as some guilds, with
creative use of skills and ingenuity, Artisans can become effective fighters.

If you believe yourself patient and clever, and are looking for a guild that
will test your prowess in both physical and mental pursuits, look no further
than the mighty Artisans of Parrius.
