The Warriors

The Warriors Guild was founded to work within the city of Parrius, to uphold the ideal of the primacy of freedom. The Warriors hold their honour dear and their word sacred.

Introduction

The Knight is a physical combatant. He or she is concerned with the study of physical prowess (weapons, melee, swordplay, endurance) rather than over the airy magical realms. Consider the Knight profession if you are fast, quick-witted or aggressive, but keen to keep simple and effective. They are strong in combat both offensively and defensively though rely on good maintenance of weapons, armour and equipment.

The Warriors are masters of sword-fighting and combat. They share their origins with the Knights of Mercinae; they were formed recently in the 8th Century by Conan of Parrius. This remarkable gentlelman burned with desire to build his own order in Parrius, having served a long term as guildmaster of the Knights. By his toil and worth efforts the guild was built - all but brick-by-brick by his own hands. Years later the Warriors grow from strength to strength. Many of the heroes and Barons of Parrius have been trained their halls. They retain strong and friendly links with the Knights of Mercinae and other goodly guilds.

If in your heart you feel the call of battle, the wish to fight with trusty steel, then join the Warriors. Those with honour, courage, self-discipline and dedication will succeed mightily in this guild, those without those traits will fail.

Two swords strapped to their back, bloodied or not by their choosing, the proud guild of the Warriors is not one to adhere to strict codes trickling down from authority. We reside in the pirate stronghold, the city of independence, where each may choose his or her own ideals. The weak we do not hack down, and the strong we may choose to oppose, and without hesitation we tread our own paths with determination. When facing your guildmaster you shall kneel in loyalty, and you will rise soon after to shake hands in friendship. Do not think us weak in our structure, do not mistake our free-spiritedness as weakness, for no one is ever truly safe from our blades.

Through the hellfire of battle, you shall fight many foes, and wherever you choose to wander, you will wander as a Warrior of freedom. Not the waters of Brahadair nor the jaws of Osiris shall staunch the ever-lasting spirit of the Warrior. When you fall down to the might of another, you will remain fighting, for we live for the fight and die to get back up.

Follow the clanging of swords, the smell of battle, and the cries of victory, and you will find the Warrior guildhouse. Anarchy does not reside here. Independence, battle, and spirit does.

Location

From Hellespont Square in Parrius head northwest down Maeville Lane and after a while, north a short way. From there, to the east is an innocuous house with adjacent stable. This is the front of the Warriors Guild.
